The Commerce Building

The century-old Commerce Building was once the seat of the Commerce Club and the St. Paul Association of Commerce, two organizations that helped shape St. Paul’s economic development. The building’s old world charm was designed by noted architect and Commerce Club member Herman Krentz in 1911. The building still features the original terrazzo floors, exposed interior columns and a masonry façade topped by an elaborate cornice piece.

CommonBond’s 10 million dollar re-design has preserved these architectural features and outfitted the building for the new century, adding a fitness center, HD movie theatre, and computer center with WiFi.
